I belong to a different David Lloyd but enquired about a transfer as I pass Hatfield on my way home from work. I looked around and was told it was 83 a month. I phoned to confirm a week later to be told it was 100 for the membership I have at this club . The response from the staff was exstremly poor and it was implied that I had got the price wrong and I had made the mistake. I found their attitude and customer services very poor something I have never experienced at the Stevenage gym where I will be staying I personally feel 100 a month for the facilities on offer and customer service in comparison to 68 that I currently pay at Stevenage are not worth the extra 32 a month.Stevenage is always clean all staff are polite respectful and helpful.Hatfield staff could learn a lot from them
Before joining smiles everywhere once a member everything changed from reception to team members. Unprofessional reception who dont know basic information when asked eg freezing an account on holiday. Team members will force you to take one to one training 40hr if you dont they start ignoring you. In short every coner they is a hungry fish craving for money
Cost - 109 a month on 12 month contract plus 100 joining feesBy comparison 49 at Herts Sports Village + 20 joining fee.Pump Gym only 16 a month and no joining fees.No wonder they keep membership fees quiet@Gym - very basic for free weightsSwimming Pool - not bad. But not worth the membership feeStaff - just hound you if you make an querie about facilities. They want you to join there and then.
Not happy at all. First few weeks our swipe cards didn't work. I reported that many times but I was completely ignored. Then without my permission someone changed our membership and direct debit!!! I was advised by NatWest to cancel DD due to unauthorized usage. They still own me money. They will promise a lot during induction day but reality is way different.
Although a nice enough facility, it is way overpriced for what is actually on offer.The food is invariably terrible.But the worst and most inexcusable thing is the absolutely abysmal customer service.
